A dieline should make the physical sample reproducible.
A structural file needs more than a cut outline. The converter and packing team need to identify fold lines, material, grain, glue faces, view orientation and the revision that produced the sample. Artwork approval and structural approval solve different problems, so record them separately.
The dieline guide focuses on the drawing and sample package that travel to a forming or cartoning trial. Follow its revision checks before comparing samples. When you change a board or fold, preserve the previous sample so the trial can isolate the effect of that change.
